Turn on autofilter and use subtotals to sort data by teacher. Use the function "sum" to total the number of excused and the number of tardies
Subtotal reads "at each change in: teacher, use function:sum, add subtotal to: excused, unexcused" this lets you sum up, create averages, max/min and other functions to isolate factors [Subtotals button is in the Data menu] note: data must be sorted before turning on Subtotals]
